Dailies

Dailies vs VizardThe Vizard alternative for calls: recorded in Chrome, with your webcam on a track of its own

Vizard and Dailies both hand you vertical, captioned shorts chosen by an AI. Vizard begins once a recording exists: you upload it or paste its link, and a one-hour video can come back as up to 40 ranked clips. Dailies begins earlier, at the call itself: it records your Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom call in Chrome and delivers up to eight shorts a few minutes after it ends. What decides between them is where your material sits: in a library of recordings, or in the calls on this week’s calendar.

Dailies

Choose Dailies if

For people who advise clients on Meet, Teams or Zoom and want a few finished shorts after each call, with nothing to export or upload.

  • Your material is said in calls on Meet, Teams or Zoom, and you would rather not export and upload each one.
  • You want your own webcam to film you, not a tile in a meeting layout.
  • Your clients must not be recognisable in what you post.

Vizard

Choose Vizard if

For coaches, podcasters and marketers who already have recordings and want a large batch of ranked clips, published and scheduled across their social accounts.

  • You already have recordings: podcasts, webinars, sessions saved on Zoom or Google Drive.
  • You want many clips from each video, ranked with a virality score.
  • You want them published and scheduled to your social accounts for you.

What Vizard does

Vizard is an AI clipping and editing tool for long videos. You upload a video or audio file, or paste a link from YouTube, Google Drive, Loom, Vimeo, Dropbox, StreamYard, Twitch and others; its page for coaches also mentions uploading from Zoom. It picks the clips itself: by its own figures a one-hour video can yield up to 40, each ranked with a virality score, and a prompt can look for a specific moment. Clips are reframed on whoever speaks, with several speakers too, and captioned automatically with emojis; French is among its transcription languages, and captions can be translated. It removes silences and long pauses, adds B-roll and a headline, dubs, and applies brand templates. It publishes and schedules to TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook Pages. It also has a browser screen recorder, which it presents for presentations, tutorials, demos and webinars.

Where Dailies and Vizard differ

A recording to bring in, or a call to hold

Vizard works on a recording that exists. For a call, the platform records it first, then you upload the file or paste a link; on the pages we read, Google Meet and Teams appear only as recordings stored in Google Drive. Its screen recorder captures a tab, a window or the whole screen with audio, and Vizard presents it for presentations, tutorials, demos and webinars. Dailies is built as the call’s recorder: it captures the call tab, your microphone and your webcam while you talk, and the shorts follow without an upload.

What a meeting recording looks like

A platform’s recording is one picture in which everyone is already laid out. Vizard’s help centre notes that in a Zoom recording it may read the speaker and the shared screen as a single screen when the speaker’s window sits on top of the share, and recommends recording them side by side. Dailies does not depend on that layout: it records your webcam on a track of its own and crops your guest’s tile on their face, so each short shows whoever speaks, full screen.

A client is not a podcast guest

In a coaching or advisory call, the other person came for advice, not to appear in your feed. Dailies has one switch that blurs your guests and disguises their voice. On the Vizard pages we read, we found no option to blur a guest or change their voice.

What Vizard does that Dailies does not

Vizard takes any video or audio you already have, returns up to 40 clips per hour with a virality score, adds B-roll, dubs, translates captions, and publishes or schedules to six networks. Dailies stays with one job: it only handles the calls it records, keeps up to eight passages per call, and leaves the posting to you, each short downloaded in Full HD.

Questions people ask

Can Vizard record a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call?

Vizard’s site does not present it as a call recorder. It works from a file or a link: its page for coaches mentions uploading from Zoom, and Google Meet and Teams appear only as recordings stored in Google Drive. It does have a browser screen recorder for a tab, a window or the whole screen with audio, presented for presentations, tutorials, demos and webinars. Dailies records the call itself in Chrome: the call tab, your microphone and your webcam.

Does Vizard work with Zoom recordings?

Yes. Its page for coaches says you can upload from Zoom or Google Drive with a link. Its help centre adds one caution: when the speaker’s window is stacked on top of a shared screen, Vizard may read both as one screen, and it recommends recording them side by side.

How many clips does Vizard make from one video?

Up to 40 from a one-hour video, by its own figures, each ranked with a virality score; the video needs spoken dialogue. Dailies keeps up to eight passages per call and delivers each as a captioned vertical short.

Can Dailies clip a video I already have, as Vizard does?

No. Dailies does not edit a video you upload: it makes shorts only from the calls it records in Chrome. For recordings you already have, Vizard is the tool built for the job.

Your next call already holds your next shorts.

Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
