Dailies vs TaplioThe Taplio alternative for people who would rather post video of what they said than written posts
Taplio and Dailies both serve someone building a personal brand, and they hardly overlap. Taplio is a LinkedIn tool: it finds post ideas, drafts them with AI in your voice, schedules them and helps you reach leads. What comes out is text and carousels. Dailies is a Chrome extension that records the calls you hold on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and delivers up to eight captioned vertical shorts a few minutes after you hang up. One writes what you will say; the other shows what you already said. This page says who needs which, and how the two fit together.

What Taplio does
Taplio is a LinkedIn growth tool, presented in its footer as Taplio by lempire. It suggests post ideas and shows a feed of viral posts for inspiration, then writes posts with an AI its site describes as trained on more than three million posts, with hooks and a carousel generator. Its scheduler takes text posts, images, documents, videos and full carousels, offers best-time scheduling and publishes natively on LinkedIn at the scheduled time. Beyond content, it has engagement lists, auto-connect and direct messages to leads, and analytics. Its site also announces Ask Taplio, in early access, and an MCP server to run it from Claude or ChatGPT. Video appears in two places on the pages we read: as a file you attach to a post to schedule, and in a tool that downloads the video of a LinkedIn post. What Taplio produces, on those pages, is written posts and carousels; we found no video editing or clip feature there.
Where Dailies and Taplio differ
Where the words come from
Taplio’s drafts start from a prompt, from your past posts and from other posts. Dailies starts from a call: the answer you gave a client last Tuesday, in your own words, on camera. It picks the best passages itself, cuts silences, filler words and false starts, and puts a line above each short, the question it answers. Neither road is better in itself. A written post lets you choose every word; a short shows you saying it.
Text and carousels on one side, video on the other
Everything Taplio makes is read: text posts and carousels. On the pages we read, video is a file you bring, attached to a post, and we found no feature that records, cuts or captions one. Dailies makes only video: vertical 9:16 shorts, reframed on whoever speaks, with animated captions burned in, in fifteen styles. It records the call tab, your microphone and your webcam from Chrome; no bot joins the call.
What Taplio does that Dailies does not
Taplio finds ideas, drafts posts, builds carousels, schedules them at the best times and publishes them on LinkedIn for you. It also works the other side of a personal brand: engagement lists, auto-connect, direct messages to leads, analytics. Dailies does none of that. It only makes shorts from the calls it records, and it does not post for you: you download each short in Full HD.
Using the two together
The two follow one another. Dailies makes the short, and you download it. Taplio’s scheduler lists videos among what it schedules, so the file can be attached to a LinkedIn post and published at the time you choose, next to your written posts and carousels. Taplio does not edit the video: it goes out as Dailies cut it.
Questions people ask
Can Taplio make videos?
Not from what its site describes. The Taplio pages we read cover text posts and carousels: ideas, AI drafting, scheduling. Video appears there as a file you attach to a post, and in a tool that downloads the video of a LinkedIn post. We found no feature that records, cuts or captions a video. Dailies does that part: it records your call in Chrome and delivers captioned vertical shorts.
Can Taplio schedule a video on LinkedIn?
Yes. Its site lists videos among what it schedules, with text posts, images, documents and carousels, and says Taplio publishes natively at the scheduled time. The video has to exist already. A short downloaded from Dailies is such a file.
Does Dailies replace Taplio?
No. Dailies only makes shorts from the calls it records, and it does not post for you. Finding ideas, drafting posts, scheduling them and reaching out to leads is what Taplio is for. If you want video of what you said and written posts too, each tool does one half of the same job.
Does Taplio write posts in French?
The Taplio pages we read do not say which languages its AI writes in, and the homepage we read is in English. The table therefore says “not stated” on that line. Dailies handles calls in French, in English and in both mixed, and its extension’s interface is in French.
Your next call already holds your next shorts.
Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
