Dailies vs MinvoThe Minvo alternative for people whose long video is a client call still to be recorded
Minvo covers the stretch from a finished long video to a scheduled post: you upload, it clips the best moments, frames the speakers, adds animated captions, and posts to your social accounts with analytics. Dailies covers the stretch before: it records the call you hold in Chrome and has up to eight captioned vertical shorts ready a few minutes after you hang up, for you to download and post. They overlap in the middle, where an AI picks and edits the passages. They differ at both ends.

What Minvo does
Minvo is an AI clip maker and social scheduler. You upload a long video and it auto-clips the best moments, which its site describes as edited moments in three clicks. Smart speaker framing focuses automatically on the speakers of a video podcast. It adds AI animated captions in more than 20 languages, transcribes and translates in more than 50, cuts ums and ahs automatically, inserts AI B-roll, dubs voices in more than 50 languages and offers studio audio. You can edit a clip from its transcript or on a timeline, and export in 4K. Minvo then posts and schedules to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, writes captions and hashtags for each post, and reports social analytics.
Where Dailies and Minvo differ
Upload first, or record first
Minvo’s site invites you to upload a video to get started: the long video must exist. We found no recording feature and no call platform on the pages we read, so a client call would be recorded with the platform, exported, then uploaded. Dailies does that first part. It records the call tab, your microphone and your webcam in Chrome, and cuts its shorts from that recording.
Framing inside one picture, or from two
Minvo’s smart speaker framing finds the speakers inside the video you upload, which for a call is the layout the platform recorded. Dailies records two pictures to start with: your webcam on a track of its own, and the call tab, from which it crops your guest’s tile on their face. Each short then shows whoever speaks, full screen.
When the guest is a client
On a client call, the other person did not sign up to appear in your feed. Dailies can blur or replace the room behind you, and one switch blurs your guests and disguises their voice in every short. We found neither option on the Minvo pages we read, which is why the table says “not stated” on those lines.
What Minvo does that Dailies does not
Scheduling and posting to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, social analytics, AI B-roll, voice dubbing in more than 50 languages, 4K export, and any long video as input. Dailies does none of it: it only handles the calls it records, exports in Full HD, and leaves the posting to you.
Questions people ask
Can Minvo record a Google Meet, Teams or Zoom call?
We found no recording feature on the Minvo pages we read: it works from a video you upload. A call would be recorded by the platform or another tool, then uploaded. Dailies records the call itself in Chrome and cuts the shorts from its own recording.
Does Minvo remove filler words?
Yes: its site says it auto-cuts ums and ahs. Removing silences is not stated on the pages we read. Dailies cuts silences, filler words and false starts out of every short.
Does Minvo support French?
Its site states animated captions in more than 20 languages, and transcription and translation in more than 50, without listing them on the pages we read, so French is not confirmed there. Those pages are in English. Dailies handles calls in French, in English and in both mixed, and its extension is in French.
Does Dailies schedule posts like Minvo?
No. Dailies does not post or schedule: you download each short in Full HD and publish it yourself on LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels or Shorts. If scheduling and analytics matter most to you, Minvo includes both.
Your next call already holds your next shorts.
Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
What this page says of Minvo comes from the pages below, published by its maker and read on October 1, 2026. Where its site says nothing, the table says “not stated” rather than “no”.
