Dailies vs SimplifiedThe Simplified alternative for people who want shorts from their calls, not a marketing suite
Simplified is a marketing workspace: design, writing, video, social scheduling and AI agents in one place. One of its tools, AI Clips, turns a long recording into ranked, captioned shorts once you have uploaded a file or pasted a link. Dailies is a single tool with a single job. It records the calls you hold in Chrome on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and delivers up to eight captioned vertical shorts a few minutes after you hang up. If your long videos already exist and your team needs the rest of the suite, Simplified covers more ground. If what you have is calls, Dailies starts where they take place.

Dailies
Choose Dailies if
For people whose only footage is the calls they hold with clients, and who want the shorts from them with no file to upload.
Your material is the advice you give on Meet, Teams or Zoom calls, and it is never filmed otherwise.
You would rather not download a recording and upload it after every call.
You want silences and false starts cut, and one switch that keeps your guests unrecognisable.
Simplified
Choose Simplified if
For marketing teams that want clipping inside a wider suite, next to design, copywriting, scheduling and AI agents, and whose long videos already exist.
Your long videos already exist, as files, YouTube links or Google Drive links.
You want each clip ranked by a score, with B-roll and translated subtitles.
Your team wants design, copywriting and scheduling in the same workspace.

What Simplified does
Simplified is a marketing workspace that gathers design, writing, video, social scheduling and AI agents. Its homepage now presents AI agents for marketing workflows, with an agent named Riley, and the video tools are still there. Its AI Clips tool takes a file of up to 500 MB (MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3 or WAV), a YouTube link or a Google Drive link. It goes through the whole recording, keeps the moments it judges most promising, captions them and ranks each clip with a viral potential score. When several people are in frame, Speaker Spotlight follows whoever is talking and keeps the clip centred on them. Captions come from a library of styles, each with its own fonts, colours and animation, and subtitles can be translated. The languages it processes include English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and German, and its website exists in French. B-Roll Booster adds supplemental footage, and the suite has AI voices, a brand kit and templates sized for each platform. Clips are scheduled straight to your connected accounts; the platform covers more than ten social channels.
Where Dailies and Simplified differ
A 500 MB file, or a call in progress
AI Clips starts from a recording that exists: a file of up to 500 MB, or a YouTube or Google Drive link. We found no recording feature on the Simplified pages we read, so a call would be recorded by the platform, downloaded, then uploaded within that size limit or shared as a link. With Dailies, the recording is the first step. Its Chrome extension captures the call tab, your microphone and your webcam while you talk, and the shorts follow without a file changing hands.
A suite, or a single tool
Simplified puts clipping next to design, copywriting, a brand kit, AI voices, a scheduler for more than ten social channels and AI agents for marketing work. That suits a team that runs its marketing from one workspace. Dailies does one thing: you hold the call in Chrome, and up to eight shorts arrive a few minutes later, each with a line above it giving the question it answers.
What a call needs that a prepared video does not
A call is not rehearsed: sentences stop and start again, nobody tidied the room, and the client did not come to appear in a post. Dailies cuts silences, filler words and false starts out of every short, can blur or replace the room behind you, and has one switch that blurs your guests and disguises their voice. The Simplified pages we read describe selection, ranking, speaker tracking, captions and B-roll. We found no mention of silence or filler-word removal, of background blur or of guest anonymisation on them, which is why the table says “not stated” on those lines.
What Simplified does that Dailies does not
Any recording as input, audio included, a viral potential score on each clip, B-roll, translated subtitles, AI voices, a brand kit, and scheduling to your connected accounts, inside a suite that also designs and writes. Dailies has none of that. It only handles the calls it recorded, and you download each short in Full HD to post it yourself.
Questions people ask
Can Simplified record a Google Meet, Teams or Zoom call?
Not from what its pages describe. AI Clips takes a file of up to 500 MB, a YouTube link or a Google Drive link, and we found no recording feature on the pages we read. A call would have to be recorded elsewhere first. Dailies records it itself, from a Chrome extension.
Does Simplified AI Clips work in French?
Yes. French is among the languages it processes, next to English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and German, and its website exists in French. Dailies handles calls in French, in English and in both mixed, and its extension’s interface is in French.
Does Simplified remove silences and filler words?
We found no mention of it on the Simplified pages we read, which describe clip selection, ranking, speaker tracking and captions. Those pages may simply not cover it, so the table says “not stated” rather than “no”. Dailies cuts silences, filler words and false starts out of every short.
Is Dailies a Simplified alternative for a marketing team?
Only for one part of the work. Dailies designs nothing, writes no posts and schedules nothing: it records the calls you hold in Chrome and makes shorts from them. A team that wants design, copywriting and scheduling in one workspace will find them in Simplified, and can still use Dailies for its calls.
Your next call already holds your next shorts.
Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
