Trainers: your sessions are the best advertisement for your course
Dailies is a Chrome extension that records the training sessions you run by video call and cuts captioned vertical shorts from them, ready to post. To fill a course you have to show how you teach, and a syllabus in a PDF shows nothing. Yet you do it in every session: a learner gets stuck, you explain it another way, and the idea lands. Those are the moments your future learners want to see before they sign up.

Which moments of a training course make a good short?
A course is split into modules, and each one is taught live. Dailies reads every session from start to finish and keeps up to eight passages of 12 to 90 seconds that stand on their own: an explanation, an example, an answer to the question everyone has.
The virtual classroom
A learner asks the question the ten others did not dare to ask. Your answer, with the example that makes it click, is a lesson in miniature.
One-to-one tutoring
You go back over an idea with someone who did not get it the first time. The second explanation is always the better one, and it is the one that deserves to be seen.
The Q&A session
At the end of a module the questions come one after another, and you answer without slides. Each brief answer is a short, on a subject your learners chose themselves.
Presenting the course
You tell people who are hesitating who the course is for and who it is not for. That honesty fills sessions better than a sales page does.
Why start from your sessions rather than a video shoot?
People see you teach, not introduce yourself
An introduction video says you are a good teacher. A clip from a session proves it: you can see someone understand. It is the only argument a future learner believes on sight.
No production to add
You already have course materials to keep up to date. Here there is nothing to film and nothing to edit: you teach your session; the shorts are ready a few minutes after you hang up, with silences and hesitations cut out.
Your learners are not put on show
A short shows whoever is speaking: you, when you explain. One switch blurs your learners and disguises their voice when they speak, and you choose the shorts you download.
What kind of shorts can a trainer post?
These are the kinds of titles a trainer’s shorts carry. Each comes from a question asked in a session: so the subject already interests the people you want to train.

How does Dailies work?
Record the call you were going to have anyway.
Open your call in Chrome and press record. Dailies captures the call, your microphone and your webcam.
It finds the moments worth posting.
Dailies reads the whole call and keeps up to eight passages that stand on their own. Silences, filler and false starts are cut out.
Reframed for a phone, on whoever is speaking.
Each short fills the vertical frame with your webcam, or with your guest when they speak. One switch blurs your guests.
Captioned in fifteen flavors.
Pick a look once and every short follows: font, colours, motion, even the backdrop behind you.
One call, up to eight shorts.
Watch them a few minutes after you hang up, download the ones you like in Full HD, and post them on LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
What about the confidentiality of your calls?
What I say on a call belongs to my clients: can I make shorts from it?
What your client paid for is an answer to their own situation, and that is not what Dailies looks for. It rates every passage on what it reveals that is private or confidential, turns down those that reveal something and keeps the ones that make sense outside the call: a piece of advice, a method, an opinion. That is a model’s judgement, not a guarantee. So nothing is posted for you: you watch every short, and when one does not suit you, you say why and Dailies leaves that subject out of your next calls. Your contract with your client remains the rule.
Nobody must know I work with this client: what do the shorts show?
One switch blurs your guests and disguises their voice in all your shorts; on a new account, it is on from the start. A short mostly shows you, explaining. That leaves what is said: if a passage names your client or describes their company, the blur changes nothing. That is why Dailies turns down the passages that reveal something private, and why you have the last word: a short Dailies proposes is not a short that is posted.
Do my calls stay stored on a server?
Your calls do reach a server, since Dailies has to receive them to cut your shorts from them, but the original files do not stay there: the sound and picture of a processed call are deleted 10 days after processing, 15 days at the latest. What stays is what your shorts are made of, that is, the only pieces of video they use, and the call’s transcript, until you delete the call, which you can do at any time. You choose which calls you record, and your recordings train no model.
Frequently asked questions
Can you record a virtual classroom to make clips from it?
Yes, as long as you tell your learners before you begin: that is for you to do. Dailies records, from your browser, the sessions you hold in Chrome on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, then cuts up to eight captioned vertical shorts from each.
Do my learners appear in the shorts?
A Dailies short shows whoever is speaking: your webcam when you explain, a learner when they ask their question. One switch blurs your guests and disguises their voice. You then choose, short by short, what you download and post.
Do the shorts show my slides?
No. A Dailies short frames whoever is speaking, vertically: your explanation makes the short, not the slides on screen. So choose the passages where you can be understood without the screen; Dailies keeps the ones that stand on their own.
Can Dailies cut up lessons I have already recorded?
No. Dailies only makes shorts from the calls it records itself in Chrome. For a course video you already have, you need a clipping tool that starts from an uploaded file.
Which languages does Dailies handle for training sessions?
Dailies handles calls in French and in English. Every short arrives captioned in one of fifteen styles; you pick yours once and for all.
Your next session is already on the timetable.
Add Dailies to Chrome, record it, and show those who are hesitating what learning with you is like.
