Dailies

Dailies vs NootaThe Noota alternative when you want to post your call, not write it up

Noota and Dailies can both record a call from a Chrome extension, with no bot in the call. From there they part ways. Noota, published in Toulouse, writes what a meeting needs afterwards: the transcript, a report in your format, the action items, the follow-up email, the candidate’s scorecard sent to your ATS. Dailies writes nothing. It cuts the call into captioned vertical shorts of your best passages, to post on LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

What Noota does

Noota is an AI note-taker published by a French company based in Toulouse. It records meetings, calls and interviews and writes their notes, reports and follow-ups, with a strong offer for recruitment. It captures in several ways: a Chrome extension you start when you join a videoconference, a desktop app that records your meetings without a bot, a Meeting Assistant bot added through your calendar, a mobile app for in-person meetings, integrated phone calls, and audio or video files you upload. It covers Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex. It transcribes and translates more than 80 languages and dialects, French of France, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland among them, and its site and help centre exist in French. It writes custom summaries and reports, action items, follow-up emails, interview reports and scorecards synced with an ATS or a CRM. It also generates video clips from your calls: it picks the most important sections and turns them into short clips to send to your team, clients or candidates.

Where Dailies and Noota differ

The capture is close, the result is not

Both tools offer a Chrome extension that records the call without a bot. Noota adds a desktop app, a bot for those who want one in the call, a mobile app and phone calls. Dailies has the extension only: it records the call tab, your microphone and your webcam, the webcam on a track of its own, on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom’s web client. If the question is how to record, Noota offers more ways to do it. The difference is in what you get back.

A clip for the team, a short for the feed

Noota generates clips from your calls by itself and presents them for coaching, feedback or team updates, sent in one click to your team, clients or candidates. Its page about clips says nothing of their format: we found no mention there of vertical output, burned-in captions, reframing or removal of silences. Dailies’ shorts are built for a public feed: vertical 9:16, reframed on whoever speaks (your webcam, or your guest’s tile cropped on their face), animated captions in one of fifteen styles, silences, filler words and false starts cut out, and a line above each one that says the question it answers.

Reports, or nothing written at all

Noota’s work is written: transcripts, translated if needed, reports in your own structure, action items, follow-up emails, interview scorecards in your ATS. Dailies writes no notes, no summary and no action items. Whoever needs a report of each meeting needs Noota or a tool of its kind: Dailies does not cover that need.

Posting what a client said

A job interview or a client call was not held to be published. Dailies has one switch that blurs your guests and disguises their voice in every short, and it can blur or replace the room behind you. We found no such option on the Noota pages we read.

Questions people ask

Does Noota record without a bot?

Yes, in two of its modes. With Noota’s Chrome extension you start recording when you join a videoconference, and its desktop app records your meetings without a bot. It also offers a Meeting Assistant, a bot added through your calendar. Dailies records from a Chrome extension only, with no bot.

Can Noota make video clips?

Yes. Noota generates video clips from your calls automatically: it picks the most important sections and turns them into short clips to send to your team, clients or candidates. Its site presents them for coaching, feedback and team updates, and does not state their format.

Does Dailies replace Noota?

No, not for notes and reports. Dailies writes no summary, no action items and no interview report, and syncs nothing with an ATS or a CRM. It makes shorts from the calls it records. Both can work on the same call, for two different results.

Does Noota work in French?

Yes. Noota lists French of France, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland among the languages it transcribes, its site and help centre exist in French, and its account settings include an interface language. Dailies handles calls in French, in English and in both mixed, and its extension’s interface is in French.

Your next call already holds your next shorts.
