Dailies

Dailies vs JoggAIThe JoggAI alternative for people who have client calls and no script

JoggAI’s homepage promises videos with no filming and no editing. You give it a script, an idea or a product link, and an avatar presents the video; that avatar can be a twin of you, made from a photo or a 30-second selfie video. Dailies makes a neighbouring promise from other material. It records the calls you hold in Chrome on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom and delivers up to eight captioned vertical shorts a few minutes later. With JoggAI, the words are written for the video. With Dailies, they were said to a client first.

What JoggAI does

JoggAI is an AI avatar video generator for social content and ads. A video starts from a script or an idea, from a product link, from podcast audio or from a photo made to talk, and is presented by a stock avatar or by your own. Its AI Twin is made from a smartphone photo or a 30-second selfie video in proper lighting; one photo can be given several outfits and settings, and the voice can be cloned. Its Custom Avatar starts from a video you upload or record with your webcam, followed by an authorisation step: a video confirming that the person shown is you, which its FAQ calls identity verification. Its site says a twin speaks more than 50 languages and that videos translate into more than 90, with lip-sync. A caption generator adds editable subtitles automatically. JoggAI also offers product photo and video shoots, slides turned into video, a face swap, a green screen editor, an API and a ChatGPT plugin. Its website exists in French, among other languages.

Where Dailies and JoggAI differ

A twin that reads, or you answering

JoggAI’s twin has your face, and your voice if you clone it, and says the script you give it. You can publish a video on any topic without being on camera that day, or in a language you do not speak. Dailies does not generate your picture or your voice: each short is a passage of a call in which you answered someone, with silences, filler words and false starts cut out and a line above it saying which question it answers. One gives you a presenter for a text; the other gives you extracts of a conversation that took place.

What you prepare beforehand

With JoggAI, the preparation is the twin and the script. The twin takes a photo or a 30-second selfie video; the video-based custom avatar adds an authorisation video confirming that the person is you. Then every video needs its text, or a product link to draw from. With Dailies, there is nothing to prepare beyond the call itself, held in Chrome: the extension records the call tab, your microphone and your webcam with no bot joining, and it chooses the passages.

Calls are not among JoggAI’s inputs

The inputs JoggAI’s site describes are a script, a product link, podcast audio, a photo, or a video to translate or caption. We found no recording of a Google Meet, Teams or Zoom call on the pages we read, and nothing that selects passages from a long recording or removes filler words. That is what Dailies is for: up to eight shorts per call, reframed on whoever speaks, your webcam or your guest’s tile cropped on their face.

What JoggAI does that Dailies does not

Avatar videos from a script, product ads from a link, a twin with several outfits, voice cloning, translation with lip-sync into more than 90 languages by its count, slides and podcasts turned into video, an API. Dailies does none of that: it handles only the calls it recorded, in French, in English or in both mixed, and you download each short in Full HD to post it yourself.

Questions people ask

Can JoggAI record a Google Meet, Teams or Zoom call?

We found no call recording on the JoggAI pages we read. Its videos start from a script, a product link, podcast audio or a photo, and its webcam recording serves to make a custom avatar and its authorisation video. Dailies records the call itself, from a Chrome extension, and cuts shorts from it.

What does JoggAI need to make an avatar of me?

For its AI Twin, a smartphone photo or a 30-second selfie video in proper lighting, according to its site. For its video-based Custom Avatar, a video you upload or record with your webcam, then an authorisation video confirming that the person shown is you; its FAQ calls this identity verification. The pages we read describe that step for the video-based avatar; for the photo-based twin, they do not say.

Is Dailies a JoggAI alternative for product ads?

No. Dailies makes no ad from a product link and generates no avatar. It only makes shorts from the calls it recorded in Chrome, showing whoever spoke. For product videos presented by an avatar, JoggAI is the right kind of tool.

Can I use both JoggAI and Dailies?

Yes, they do not overlap. JoggAI makes scripted videos presented by an avatar; Dailies cuts shorts from your calls on Meet, Teams or Zoom. Someone could post call extracts in their own words and scripted avatar videos side by side.

Your next call already holds your next shorts.

Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
