Dailies vs AI StudiosThe AI Studios (DeepBrain AI) alternative for videos that start from a call, not a script
AI Studios and Dailies both let you publish video without setting up a shoot. AI Studios generates it: a script, a topic, a document or a URL becomes a video presented by a stock avatar, or by a custom avatar made from a two-minute recording of you. Dailies records it: the calls you hold in Chrome become captioned vertical shorts a few minutes after they end. AI Studios needs a script and no call. Dailies needs calls and no script. AI Studios also cuts highlights from a long video you upload, which this page covers too.

What AI Studios does
AI Studios is an AI video generator made by DeepBrain AI, whose former address, deepbrain.io, now leads to it. It makes a video from a script, a topic, a URL or a document (PowerPoint, PDF, Word), presented by a stock avatar, of which its site counts more than 2,000, or by a custom avatar. For an Instant Custom Avatar, you record about two minutes of yourself speaking, with a phone or a webcam, reading a short script on a teleprompter it provides; you submit that video with a consent video, and your voice is cloned. AI Studios adds auto captions in more than 150 languages on its Team plan and above, dubs videos with voice cloning and lip-sync, and offers interactive videos, a course builder and real-time conversational avatars. Its browser screen recorder captures a tab, a window or the whole screen, alone, with your camera or with an avatar. Its Video Highlights tool identifies the key moments of a long video and turns them into short clips.
Where Dailies and AI Studios differ
A script read by an avatar, or what you said on a call
The main output of AI Studios is an avatar presenting a text: one you wrote, or one generated from a topic, a document or a URL. It suits messages you can prepare. Dailies has no text to start from: the words of each short are those you said to a client during a call, and it picks up to eight passages per call by itself. One needs a script and no call, the other calls and no script.
Highlights from a file, or shorts from the call itself
AI Studios has a Video Highlights tool: you give it a long video, it identifies the key moments and turns them into short clips. A call therefore has to be recorded and uploaded first. On the pages we read, we found no mention of a vertical 9:16 output, of reframing on whoever speaks or of removing silences and filler words, so the table says “not stated” there. Dailies records the call in Chrome and delivers vertical shorts, reframed on your webcam or on your guest’s tile, with silences, filler words and false starts cut out.
Recording a screen, recording a call
AI Studios has a browser screen recorder that captures a tab, a window or the whole screen, alone, with your camera or with an avatar. Its pages present it for screen recordings; we found no mention of Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom calls on them. Dailies is made for those calls: it captures the call tab, your microphone and your webcam, the webcam on a track of its own. No bot joins the call.
What AI Studios does that Dailies does not
Avatar videos from a script or a document, with no call and no camera. Dubbing with voice cloning and lip-sync, auto captions in more than 150 languages, a course builder with SCORM, interactive and real-time avatars, and highlights from a long video you upload. Dailies is much narrower: it works only on the calls it recorded in Chrome, in French and in English, and leaves the posting to you, each short downloaded in Full HD.
Questions people ask
Is AI Studios the same as DeepBrain AI?
Yes: AI Studios is the product, DeepBrain AI the company that makes it. The address deepbrain.io now redirects to aistudios.com, and the site’s footer carries DeepBrain AI’s copyright. People search for both names; this page uses AI Studios.
Can AI Studios record a Google Meet, Teams or Zoom call?
Its pages do not say so. AI Studios has a browser screen recorder, which captures a tab, a window or the whole screen, with your camera if you want; we found no mention of calls on the pages we read. Its Video Highlights tool works on a long video you upload. Dailies records the call itself from a Chrome extension, with your webcam on a track of its own.
How do I create my own avatar in AI Studios?
By recording about two minutes of yourself. For an Instant Custom Avatar, you film yourself with a phone or a webcam while reading a short script on a teleprompter that AI Studios provides; the same page also speaks of three minutes of footage. You submit that training video together with a consent video, and your voice is cloned with the avatar.
Does AI Studios make short clips from a long video?
Yes. Its Video Highlights tool identifies the key highlights of a long video and turns the selected moments into short, shareable clips. We found no mention of a vertical 9:16 format or of reframing on the speaker on the pages we read. Its auto captions are available on the Team plan and above.
Does Dailies replace AI Studios?
No, unless shorts from your calls are all you want. Dailies has no avatar, no dubbing and no course builder, and does not work on a video you upload. It records the calls you hold in Chrome and cuts captioned vertical shorts from them.
Your next call already holds your next shorts.
Add Dailies to Chrome, record the call you were going to have anyway, and watch its shorts a few minutes after you hang up.
